職位介紹
JOB SCOPE/SUMMARY:
1. Provide leadership and overall direction to the Product and Process Development. This position is responsible for the analysis, design, development, testing, documenting, and support of all products and supporting tools technical related tasks.
2. This also includes technology strategic, budgets, reporting, staffing.
3. This position works in collaboration with the other departments along with Product and Process Management, Operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Evaluate the feasibility of selected concepts to meet functional, cosmetic and customer needs.
2. Design, develop and prototype new products in accordance with company & Customer Product Development process.
3. Evaluate the feasibility of prototypes through engineering testing and analysis, consistent with customer expectation.
4. Create timelines for development tasks and appraise management of performance against plan.
5. Evaluate, document, and implement potential design and process changes to improve product performance, manufacturability.
6. Obtain components/supplies/equipment to support prototype assembly.
7. Assess reliability, safety, performance and risk of new designs & methodologies; Coordinate and communicate development schedules and compatibility or design issues throughout the team continuously.
8. Provide input into the creation/modification of Product Specifications in alignment with Customer Requirements.
9. Transfer of designs to manufacturing through liaison with manufacturing engineering.
10. Pull-in and drive application of latest materials, processes & agile methodologies.
11. Ownership of BOM, MIP, SOP, FC, DOE, FA, DFM and FMEA.
QUALIFICATIONS
? EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
1. Minimum 8 years of experience in similar position and field is a must, preferably from mobile accessory, automotive interior, textile related products or EMS industry.
2. Demonstrated leadership roles in previous positions desirable. Previous team management and supervision.
3. Excellent public presentation and interaction skills. Excellent in reporting (PPT, Keynote).
4. Fluent spoken English is a must.
5. Worked with US customer like MS/ Bose/ Apple in NPI phase will be advantage.
6. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering. Strong knowledge of technology platforms and systems.
